Organized by the association of the Rural Family House of Beni Snassen in partnership with the regional directorate of Agriculture, the Oriental Chamber of Agriculture and the regional directorate of the Agricultural Council, under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture Agriculture, Maritime Fishing, Rural Development and Water and Forests, this show aims to create an economic dynamic at the level of the Oriental to make known and promote the local products of the region.
Installed on an area of 2400 m², the show, which continues until August 4, sees the participation of 150 agricultural cooperatives from the Oriental and other regions of the Kingdom, in addition to 35 exhibitors between institutions, sponsors and private companies specialized in the sale of agricultural inputs.
It constitutes an opportunity for the promotion of the territorial approach and the development of local products and an unmissable meeting for professionals, researchers and institutions in the field of agricultural and rural development.
This edition is marked by an institutional center dedicated to resilience and current climate change, highlighting the ministry’s efforts and interventions in terms of adaptation and mitigation of the effects of climate change.
These include efforts to develop production systems capable of adapting to climate change and projects carried out to ensure and manage the supply of irrigation water at the regional level.
In a statement to MAP, Mr. Sadiki affirmed that this fair is part of the promotion of different local products, noting the importance of this sector which supports a significant segment of small producers, notably women’s cooperatives. which stand out for their healthy management style.
These cooperatives benefit from the necessary support to promote their products thanks to the construction and equipment of valorization units, in addition to support through training and assistance in obtaining health safety certifications, which allows them to open up to more markets and exhibitions, both nationally and internationally, he added.
The number of producers and cooperatives continues to increase, noted the minister, which meets the objectives of solidarity agriculture and contributes to the emergence of a middle class in the rural world.
For their part, the exhibitors highlighted the importance of such events for the promotion and marketing of their products, noting that it is an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences between various exhibitors from the Oriental and elsewhere. .
Scientific seminars and training workshops are scheduled on the sidelines of the show in order to strengthen the technical capacities of agricultural cooperatives around agricultural entrepreneurship, sources of financing, E-commerce and other current topics.
In parallel with the show, the second edition of Tbourida de l’Oriental is organized from July 26 to 28, 2024, at the Ouled Hammane souk square, with the participation of 15 Sorbas from the different provinces of the region.
