Saiju Kurup gets more attention than Unni Mukundan; Varkichan of Meppadiyan as discussed

Unni Mukundan’s latest movie Meppadiyan is being discussed on social media. Meppadiyan is getting a mixed reaction. The Sangh Parivar narratives in the film are being discussed along with the assessment that Jayakrishnan is Unni Mukundan’s career best in the film.

Meanwhile, in the film, a workman named Philip, played by Saiju Kurup, is noticed. Although Saiju Kurup is similar to the usual comedy-mixed serious characters, this character is a bit different.

Saiju Kurup’s Varkichan was noted for his excellent performance in the film. It is safe to say that Saiju’s performance was irresponsible, but always a man of great dreams and decisions.

Varkichan is the personification of those who, without doing anything, come up with new projects every day and shift the responsibility to others. This character is able to create a kind of resentment in the audience.

Saiju’s Varkichan is a character that stays in the minds of the audience in Meppadiyan like the Bhasi Pillai of Shine Tom Chacko in Dulquer Salman’s Kurup.

Meppadiyan was released in theaters on the 14th. The film is scripted and directed by Vishnu Mohan and produced by Unni Mukundan himself under the banner of Unni Mukundan Films. Anju Kurian is the heroine of Meppadiyan.

Unnimukundan will be seen in the film as Jayakrishnan, a countryman. Director Vishnu Mohan has penned the script for the film.

The film also stars Indrans, Saiju Kurup, Major Ravi, Aju Varghese, Vijay Babu, Kalabhavan Shajon, Aparna Janardhanan, Nisha Sarang, Kundara Johnny, Sreejith Ravi, Kottayam Ramesh, Pauly Wilson, Krishna Prasad and Manohari Amma.

The music is composed by Rahul Subramanian. The cinematography of the film is by Neil Dikunja. Editing by Shamir Mohammad, Art Direction by Sabu Mohan and Production Manager by Vipin Kumar.
