Kochi: The crime branch inspected the flats of Saiju Thankachan, the accused in the case in which the models died in a car accident. The probe team raided three flats near Kakkanad Infopark. One of these flats is owned by Saiju.
Earlier, the probe team had found footage of drunken parties in various places from Saiju’s mobile phone. It was from these scenes that it was found that parties were also held in the flats in Kochi. These flats were then raided with the help of the Dog Squad.
The Dog Squad was called in to help find the drugs, which were stored in flats. In addition, the investigation team collected the names of those who visited these flats and their names. An extensive investigation will be conducted focusing on them.
According to the investigation team, Saiju had organized drunken parties in his flats in Kochi after the first lockdown. It was also found that many people, including young women, attended these parties. Some of the young women who attended the parties and some of the young women who were chatting with Saiju were questioned yesterday. This was followed by an inspection of the flats. The investigation team is also looking for a couple who are hotel owners in Kochi in a case related to Saiju. So far, nine cases have been registered against Saiju at various stations.
