To deal with an epidemic wave, the Saint-Brieuc hospital (Côtes-d’Armor) took strong action. From this Tuesday, visits by hospitalized patients are prohibited except in the event of a derogation from the hospital services, for example if the patient is at the end of his life. This rule applies in adult medicine and surgery departments, explains the hospital center in a press release posted on Facebook on Monday.
In the maternity ward, women have the option of having a single companion at their side in the delivery room and then during their stay. In pediatrics and neonatology, only one parent is authorized with the hospitalized child. In Ehpad, visits are possible but families must strictly respect barrier gestures.
Level 2 of the white plan triggered
These decisions come as level 2 of the white plan has been triggered and several epidemics are raging at the moment: Covid-19, seasonal flu, gastroenteritis and bronchiolitis.
