(Saint-Donat) A head-on collision involving two vehicles left three seriously injured Sunday afternoon, in Saint-Donat, in the Lanaudière region.
The face-to-face took place around 3:30 p.m. on Route 329 near the intersection of Régimbald Road.
According to information gathered by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), one of the cars would have performed a maneuver to avoid an overtaking motorcycle. It then allegedly struck another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
One of the vehicles had three occupants on board, while the driver was alone in the second car.
Of the four people involved in the crash, two suffered serious injuries and another minor injuries, but their lives would not be feared. The fourth victim, a man, is in critical condition, however, the SQ reported.
An investigator must analyze the scene. Route 329 is currently completely closed to traffic between Chemin Régimbald and Route 125. Detours are possible via local roads.
