A rather funny encounter. Friday, off the coast of Saint-Malo, a very experienced fisherman came face to face with a wild boar in the open sea, reports the local newspaper The Malouin country. The man decided to film the scene to immortalize the moment.
In the images, we can see the boar swimming without difficulty, while approaching the fisherman. “We approached him. He did the same. He was swimming very fast in our direction. We had the impression that he wanted to get on board, ”says Luc Ceillier to the Pays Malouin.
“We didn’t want to disturb him”
The fisherman, who has been practicing for more than fifty years, made the decision not to let the animal climb on his boat. “We did not insist, we moved away. We didn’t want to disturb him. We let him continue his journey towards the harbor of Rothéneuf, ”he says.
Given the characteristics of the animal, it is very likely that Luc Ceillier did not put the life of the boar in danger by taking this decision. The mammal is reputed to be a very good swimmer.
In 2020, on a beach in northern Germany, a wild boar caused panic. Arriving by sea, the animal began to attack vacationers on the sand, creating a crowd movement. These images had been widely relayed on social networks.
