In 2003, Cable & Wireless, the second largest British telecommunications group, called him to restore balance sheets by appointing him Group Chief Executive. Subsequently he goes to Lehman Brothers and from 2011 to 2013, he takes over the helm of Avio. In 2014, he arrives at the helm of Poste Italiane with the position of CEO.
