Salaries: executives, big losers in companies facing the shock of inflation

While inflation exceeds 6% at the end of the year, the salaries of executives have certainly increased… but less than those of others. In the third quarter of 2022, their basic monthly salary (SMB) only increased by 2.7% over one year, when that of workers and employees rose by 4.5% and the average was 3, 7%, according to data from Dares.

For some of them, especially those who occupy the highest positions, a variable part – consisting of premiums, bonuses, etc. – certainly provides additional remuneration. But they are not the most numerous, far from it.
