In Peru, one of the topics that is always debated is the salary increase that aims to improve the working conditions of employees. In that sense, thanks to the Centralized Collective Agreement 2024-2025, it was announced that the remuneration of public sector workers will increase during the coming months. How much salary will public sector employees get?

This benefit is for employees who are in regimes 276 and 728, employees of special careers such as magistrates and diplomats with the Civil Service and Administrative Service Contract (CAS). Thus, the State guarantees a full and equitable salary for state employees, which has a positive impact on their quality of life.
At the beginning of the year, the salary of state employees was raised to S/50, with a total increase of S/100 projected during 2024. The other part will be paid in the second half of the year, complying with what was agreed in the centralized collective agreement. Supreme Decree No. 313-2023-EF mentions that this benefit is granted to all servants, managers and officials who are part of Labor Regimes No. 728 and No. 1057 (CAS), as well as those under Laws No. 30057 (civil service), No. 29709 (special public penitentiary career) and No. 28091 (diplomats).
Meanwhile, employees of national and regional government institutions who wish to receive this aid only have to register in the Computer Application for the Centralized Registry of Payroll and Data of Human Resources in the Public Sector (AIRHSP) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. However, it is important to note that servers, managers and executives should not spend more than S/15,600, according to Article 2 of Emergency Decree No. 038-2006.
Likewise, public sector employees should know that the second salary increase, that is, the S/50, will be paid from December 31, 2024. Thus, this increase is within the public budget, so it has been programmed to guarantee that employees receive the increase before the end of the year.
When will the salary (CAS) of public sector employees increase?
