Salem Hospital Warns Endoscopy Patients of Potential Infection Risk

SALEM – Salem Hospital is notifying over 400 endoscopy patients about a potential exposure to serious diseases. The hospital stated that IV medication was not administered properly, which could have exposed the patients to Hepatitis B and C as well as HIV.

While the hospital assured the public that the possible risk of infection is low, they have reached out to those affected. As of now, no infections have been reported as a result of the issue.
