Rome, Italy. To commemorate the 200th anniversary of Don Bosco’s Nine Year Dream, the Youth Ministry Sector is hosting the Salesian Synod of Youth (SYS), taking place from August 11th to 16th, 2024, in Turin-Valdocco and Colle Don Bosco.
The SYS aims to engage and unite young people from Salesian Provinces worldwide, to deepen and rediscover the meaning of Don Bosco’s Dream in their spiritual, discerning, and vocational journeys.

Young people between the ages of 18 and 30, along with two Salesians and two Daughters of Mary Help of Christians from each region, have been invited to participate. Over 370 participants are expected, representing 83 countries and diverse cultural backgrounds.
The Synod is structured in three phases:
Preparatory Phase: Consultation and dialogue among provinces to gather input for the drafting of the Instrument of Labor.
Celebratory Phase: Synodal sessions at Colle Don Bosco using the plenary assembly method.
Action Phase: Final document development and organizational work.
