Salinas, close to accepting that he killed the retiree Molina and heading for a life sentence | Cuyo’s diary

by time news

José Luis Salinas (46) from Mendoza would be one step away from confirming that he entered the house of Ramón Eduardo Molina (85) in Santa Lucía on Saturday, March 11, and beat him to death to steal some 130,000 pesos, tools, his cell phone and his wallet, before fleeing in the victim’s car.

If he accepts an abbreviated trial, Salinas will receive a life sentence.

Everything indicates that the event occurred during a siesta that Saturday and that Salinas used his fists, kicks, or some “blunt” element to hit the old man’s head until he died.

The detainee and Molina knew each other, because Salinas worked in the metallurgical workshop that Molina rented from the detainee’s employer and from time to time did odd jobs with the retiree, judicial sources said.

It is suspected that Salinas entered Molina’s home without an accomplice and did not expect to meet the victim. Killing a person so that he does not later accuse him of having stolen from him is a crime that is punishable by life imprisonment.
