Salmonella: recall of chipolatas sold throughout France

by time news

Do not consume this product! Intermarché undertook, on Tuesday, the recall of chipolatas which had been sold in its stores since Wednesday due to the presence of salmonella, responsible for salmonellosis. Consumers who have purchased them must return them to the store in order to obtain a refund.

Only one package of chipolatas is concerned. It is a packet of six sausages (-25% salt) from the Jean Roze brand, specifies the recall notice published on the government site Rappel-Conso. It bears the barcode 3250392334710. It is more precisely the batch J30510585 whose use-by date is March 6, 2023. It was on sale in all Intermarché stores from February 22 to 28.

What symptoms?

“Food poisoning caused by salmonella results in gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, vomiting) of sudden onset often accompanied by fever and headaches which generally occur 6 to 72 hours after consumption of the contaminated products” , specify the authorities on the recall notice, asking for more attention for “young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised subjects and the elderly”.

People who have consumed these products and who have symptoms are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption. If there are no symptoms within seven days of consuming the affected products, there is no need to worry.
