During his tour of the Portales Market of the Benito Juárez Mayor’s Office, Solomon Chertorivskycandidate for head of Government of Mexico City, emphasized the need to address the phenomenon of migration from the perspective of human rights.

When questioned about his immigration policy for the capital, Chertorivski, standard bearer of the Citizen Movement, highlighted the importance of implementing a specific public policy to address this situation.

The orange party candidate proposed the creation of the Migrant Secretariat of Mexico City to address the diversity of the migration phenomenon.

This new secretariat would be in charge of guaranteeing safe spaces for migrants in vulnerable situations, providing medical attention and care to migrant minors, as well as carrying out a census to know the exact number of migrants in the city and facilitating their integration into the labor market.

Chertorivski stressed that this public policy seeks to safeguard the human rights of migrants who seek refuge in the city, differentiating them from those who arrive with criminal intentions.

He stated that violators will be addressed with the corresponding security policy.

Prior to his visit to the Portales Market, Chertorivski took a tour of Metro Line 2, from San Cosme to General Anaya, and then returned to the Portales station.

He concluded his campaign day by leading an activation and decal pasting at the intersection of Eje 7 and Av Universidad.
