Salvadoran gang members expelled from Honduras

Two leaders of the 18 gang were expelled from Honduras after an operation carried out by agents of the Police Anti-Markers and Gangs Against Organized Crime Directorate (DIPAMPCO); Both were handed over to police authorities at the El Amatillo border, department of La Unión.

The two subjects were identified as: Luis Antonio Aguirre Gonzales, 47, alias “Ángel Negro”, and Alexis Asael Clímaco Zelaya, 41, alias “El Pijudo”, who have seven international arrest warrants in force for multiple crimes, among them, homicide, illicit associations, extortion and money laundering.

According to INTERPOL reports, the two criminals have seven outstanding arrest warrants for various serious crimes.

For his part, the Minister of Justice and Security, Gustavo Villatoro, assured that thanks to the emergency regime these criminals will remain imprisoned.

«These terrorists were captured in Honduras, through communication and coordination with the authorities of said country. Alexis Asael Clímaco Zelaya, alias “El Pijudo” or “Cuervo”, and Luis Antonio Aguirre González, alias “Ángel Negro” or “Culicha”, were captured in 2019, but due to that disastrous judicial system, they were released today, thanks to the #RegimeOfException this will not happen, both members of the 18 Sureños gang will have to answer for their crimes,” the official published on his social networks.
