This March 3, agents from the Jutiapa Police Station reported that in the 4th. avenue and 2nd. street in the La Federal neighborhood of the departmental capital, they arrested Eslin Cristina Hernández Figueroa, 34, a Salvadoran national; she who presents an alert to the International Police Organization (INTERPOL) for the crime of illegal groups, was also found irregularly in the country.
The authorities indicated that, at the police base, Hernández Figueroa has an active arrest warrant for the crimes of illegal groups and rebellion, dated August 12, 2015, issued by a Court in Tejutla, Chalatenango, El Salvador, for this reason. She was taken to the San Cristóbal, Jutiapa border, where she will be handed over to the Salvadoran authorities.
So far this year, there are 23 Salvadorans located in Guatemala, 18 required by the justice of their country and 5 sent to Guatemalan Courts to resolve their legal situation.
