(LaPresse) Samantha Cristoforetti returned to space accompanied by a special friend. The Italian astronaut left the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, aboard the SpaceX Crew-4 and headed for the International Space Station, with a plush monkey. During the direct from NASA you can clearly see the puppet held in her hand, shortly after then the monkey begins to “float” near AstroSam, during the journey to the ISS. A sign that the crew has achieved weightlessness.
Already in the 2014 mission, Cristoforetti had been accompanied by a soft toy: at the time it was Olaf, one of the characters in the Disney cartoon film “Frozen”.
