Ms. Sitail completed graduate studies in American language and civilization at the University of Paris Diderot (Paris 7) and a specialization in audiovisual at the Ecole supérieure de réalisation audiovisuelle. She also holds a Master I in “Communication Professions” and a Master II in “Communication, Business, Institutions and Risks” from the School of Advanced Studies in Information and Communication Sciences “CELSA – Sorbonne”.

Having marked three decades of Moroccan television, Ms. Sitail was head of the Information Department of the 2M television channel between 2001 and 2008, before being promoted to Deputy General Director in charge of Information.

Her commitment predisposed her to contribute to the flowering of the Moroccan media landscape and to the diversification of its editorial line through a strategy that she led at 2M and which gave pride of place to local subjects and current issues.

A documentary filmmaker and director of major reports, she has actively taken part in the development of audiovisual journalism in several African countries where she has had to carry out missions, particularly training, with several non-governmental or public organizations.

Herself from an immigrant background, a subject close to her heart, Ms. Sitail has produced major reports that have provided a more accurate view of Moroccans around the world.

As a media and communications expert, Ms. Sitail led the Press and Communications division of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP22) held in November 2016 in Marrakech.

Married and mother of two children, the ambassador of His Majesty the King in Paris is also a woman of civic engagement, particularly in the field of women’s rights. She is now active in several associations working in the social, societal and media fields.
