Samokov will be the new center of the men’s national teams. Thanks to Eng. Petar Georgiev in the mountain town has already completed a very modern base and hall. Coach Gianlorenzo Blengini has already seen the conditions in July and fully approves of her.
“The goal is to have all the teams concentrated in one place, so that there is contact between athletes and coaches – said Nikolay Ivanov, coordinator of the national teams. Everything will happen under the watch of Blendzini. We are following our vision and strategy. The boys under 21 will are preparing for the World Championship, some may be invited to the men’s team. Only the under-16 team will prepare in Stara Zagora, where the conditions are also very high level. We are visiting clubs in Bulgaria to see how the coaches work. Together with Blendjini, there will be more cities. We want to see the activity of the clubs desire from a club, we will go to see how it works. We try to contribute knowledge to the coaches and Blennjini is the person who can help a lot the national team, he will help.”
Ventsislav Simeonov will be the coach of the under-21 team. He will be in constant contact with Blengini. Our under-19 team will also be in Samokov, but will use ”Arena Samokov” and the adjacent hotel as a base.
“I think it’s a very good initiative with visiting clubs – added Blengini. – It was interesting for me to see how they work. I was pleasantly surprised by the level. There are also things that can and should be improved. This is more valuable than a workshop. You talk to people, it’s very important how the clubs work. We believe that one day they will reach the men’s team. And in Stara In Zagora, I saw good coaches who know what they have to do. During the winter break, my duties are to see how everyone is performing. I will watch the matches and talk to the coaches.
