by time news

Samsung (Samsung) updates its popular series of intermediate phones Galaxy A with a pair of new models, Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54. The second of them is currently the company’s most advanced mid-range model, with the new Exynos 1380 chipset that comes with a dedicated chip for artificial intelligence calculations. The device offers up to 8 gigabytes of working memory and up to 256 gigabytes for file storage. The AMOLED screen is 6.4 inches in size, with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The main camera setup of the Galaxy A54 consists of three cameras: first with a 50-megapixel sensor, a super-wide lens with a 12-megapixel sensor, and a macro camera. The front camera is equipped with a 32-megapixel sensor. More in the specifications: optical image stabilization, a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh and a charging power of up to 25 watts, water and dust resistance to the IP67 standard, and the Android 13 operating system with the One UI 5.1 interface. Samsung commits to four years of full updates to the operating system, which means that those who keep the Galaxy A54 long enough will get to install Android 17 on the device.

The Galaxy A34 actually has a larger screen. 6.6 inches, but instead of a hole, there is a notch in the shape of a drop. The screen has FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. MediaTek’s Dimensity 1080 processor is responsible for the performance, and it is offered with up to 8 gigabytes of working memory and 256 gigabytes for file storage. The camera set-up is less good than that of the A54, with a main camera equipped with a 48-megapixel sensor, a wide-angle camera with an 8-megapixel sensor, a macro camera and a front camera with a 13-megapixel sensor.

Here, too, there is a large battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh and charging with a power of 25 watts, an IP67 standard, and even the same promise of continuous operating system updates up to Android 17, a matter that is not taken for granted in the category.

As for the prices: the A34 will be launched in Europe this month, with prices ranging from 389 euros to 459 euros. The A54 will also be launched during March, with prices starting at €489.
