Samsung creates the world’s first phone that wraps around the wrist like a watch

The South Korean company Samsung has registered a patent for the first phone that wraps around the wrist, where it can be worn like a watch, as it can be folded four times.

The company will launch this phone in the future if it manages to implement the idea on the ground, although the current Samsung phones can be folded twice, either horizontally in fold phones, or vertically in flip phones.

While the new patent comes to be the phone foldable four times to wrap around the wrist, through the use of a flexible screen that can be stretched or twisted when needed.

Where the shapes and diagrams in the patent show that the screen can be twisted to become a curve, and that it can be bent 180 degrees to become a semi-circle.

This comes just two days after a patent appeared for the development of a new dual-screen smartphone, in which a transparent screen will be the rear in addition to the basic.

Samsung filed a patent application for the dual-screen phone early this year 2022 to the World Intellectual Property Office “WIPO”.

SamMobile said that the model presented by the South Korean company will have a dual screen, but its back panel becomes practically transparent when the device is locked or turned off.

He explained that the dual-screen phone may never go into production, like previous brands, since it is just a patented model.
