In the first quarter of 2024, Samsung took the leading position among smartphones with artificial intelligence (AI) functions. This was reported in a new report by the analytical firm Counterpoint Research, Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru.
The most popular among consumers was the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which took a specific 30.1% of the market. In second place was the Samsung Galaxy S24 with a share of 16.8%, and in third place was the Galaxy S24+ with a share of 11.5%.
The ranking also includes other manufacturers such as Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus, Honor, and Google. According to the report, 6% of all smartphones were equipped with AI features in the first quarter of the year. Premium devices, which cost more than $600, already have AI support in 70% of cases.
Counterpoint Research analysts note the growth in the number of smartphone models with AI features, which reached 30 models in the first quarter against 16 last year. According to their forecasts, the share of smartphones with AI will grow to 11% in 2024.
