Samsung offers the Camera Assistant app for more devices

by time news

Samsung’s advanced photography application, known as Camera Assistant, was until now only available for the devices in the company’s Galaxy S22 series. However, it recently received an update that adds new capabilities and also allows installation on a much wider range of devices.

The list now includes all Galaxy models, starting with the Galaxy S20 up to and including the new S23 series. The Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 are also inside, and the Note 20 series models and older foldable devices are also expected to join soon. The only requirement is to update the operating system to the newest version, which is One UI 5.1.

The Camera Assistant app must be downloaded from the Samsung app store, Galaxy Store, which is pre-installed on the device. You can simply search for it through the store, or enter the following link by browsing from within the device itself.

Within the application you can find options such as turning off the automatic HDR, control over the degree of graphic processing and pixel smoothing, turning off the automatic transition between different lenses, the shooting speed, the option to take video while taking pictures, control the brightness of the screen while taking pictures in the dark, control over saving Location when taking photos and dozens of other different settings.
