According to reports citing updates to regional scheduling, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series deployment was adjusted. While previous indications pointed toward a global release starting in mid-September or September 21, Android Authority and SamMobile reported that Samsung quietly revised the Thailand Newsroom page. The Galaxy S26 lineup is now scheduled to receive One UI 9 on September 28, 2026, putting it on the exact same release date as the Galaxy S25 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23 FE is promised the new operating system sometime in October, though a specific calendar date has not yet been designated.
New Features and Artificial Intelligence Upgrades in One UI 9
The One UI 9 software brings a host of functional and artificial intelligence additions to supported devices, building upon capabilities previously introduced on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8.
Among the primary additions is My FanCam, a tool allowing users to select a specific individual inside a recorded video so the system can track their movement and automatically adjust composition to keep the subject centered. How to Install the Update
As distribution proceeds gradually across regions, Samsung has outlined official guidelines for users to check and apply the One UI 9 firmware. Device owners can navigate to Settings, select Software update, and tap Download and install. If the system detects availability, users can download the files and select Install now.
