Built-in apps on the Korean brand’s phones are updated through the Galaxy Store, which previously did not require the use of a registered account. Recently, you must have a Samsung ID account to receive updates.

According to media journalists, Samsung’s requirement was spelled out in the new version of the user agreement. You must have an active account to download new applications and update existing ones. Galaxy Store runs in the background and installs updates without users noticing. Experts have suggested that now some Samsung smartphone owners may be left without updates.

The material says that with the update, built-in applications receive new features, as well as fixes and security patches. To continue receiving updates from Samsung, users will have to create a Samsung ID or link their Google account to the Galaxy Store.
