Confiscation (RG) – Exciting weekend for Samuele Cassibba at the 69th Coppa Nissena. The Ateneo Motorsport standard bearer on Nova Proto Synergy took home a lot of points in the 2000 class in the leading role with a challenge on the edge of hundredths of a second that saw him 2nd in race 1 and then finish dominating the class and 3rd on the podium. Now the fate of the CIVM sud and the Sicilian Championship are becoming more favorably predictable.

The driver from Comiso once again demonstrated his full potential, along with that of the French two-seater, meticulously set up by his team and with which Samuele reshuffled the cards and the fate of the race organized by AC Caltanissetta and DLF Academy. The challenge of race 1 will remain in the annals, with him in 2nd place with just 10 hundredths of a gap from the top. The Scuderia Ateneo Motorsport standard-bearer dominated the 2000 class and conquered the overall podium, even improving the time that in 2023 had brought him to victory on the historic Caltanissetta track. It was an extremely positive weekend for Cassibba, who in race 1 obtained the second overall position with a time of 2’02.58, improving the time of the previous edition of 2’04.39. The first heat was exceptional, with a gap from the top of just 0.10 seconds. In race 2 he finished with a time of 2’03.86, for a total of 4’06.44. This result allowed him to obtain 3rd place overall and first place in the 2-liter class, accumulating essential points for the classification. In the second heat the car also responded well, despite some imperfections that limited its possibilities of advancing further.

“I am very satisfied with today’s race, it was a positive Sunday in all aspects” – commented Cassibba immediately after the race – “After the unexpected event in Gubbio, I felt the need to regain confidence and find the right feeling with the car, and today I think I succeeded. My team, RgCarTronik, together with the Faggioli team, supported me impeccably, and their work was fundamental to obtaining this result. Every member of the team gave their best, and I can proudly say that we have taken an important step towards our goal of being increasingly competitive on all types of tracks”.
