A fire broke out in the Rio shopping and entertainment center in southwest Moscow. The fire was assigned a higher complexity number, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.

“A fire broke out at 1 Bolshaya Cheremushkinskaya Street in the Rio shopping center. The building’s cladding is burning from the 1st to the 4th floor. The fire has been assigned the second complexity number out of five,” the agency’s source said. According to him, it was planned to involve aviation in extinguishing the fire.

Emergency services reported that firefighters had extinguished the open fire in the shopping center.

As reported to TASS by the press service of the capital’s Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the area of ​​the fire is being established. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties.

It should be noted that the chain of shopping and entertainment centers “RIO” belongs to the group of companies “Tashir”, which in turn belongs to the Russian millionaire of Armenian origin Samvel Karapetyan. According to information from the Russian media, “RIO” is currently the largest chain of shopping and entertainment centers in Russia.
