A 73-year-old man died after his vehicle collided with a truck.

The collision on Route 40 in San Carlos, involving a truck and a “stagnant” vehicle, resulted in the death of Óscar Miranda, 73, whose vehicle was struck from behind.
Details of the Collision
After 7:30 p.m., police responded to an accident on Route 40 and Severo Street. A “stagnant” vehicle and a Toyota Hilux truck had collided violently.
Upon arrival, authorities confirmed the death of Óscar Miranda, 73, the driver of the “stagnant” vehicle. The driver of the Hilux truck was taken to Tagarelli Hospital with minor injuries.

According to the Ministry of Security, Miranda was driving on Route 40 from south to north when his vehicle was struck from behind by the Hilux truck, which was traveling in the same direction.
As a result of the impact, Miranda lost control and crashed into a tree, succumbing to his injuries at the scene.
Emergency Response
Police Station 18, the Special Patrol Unit, Road Police, and firefighters responded to the accident.
