Mayor carries out solidarity campaign for families affected by landslides

Given the large number of people affected by the intense rainfall and river overflows, the Municipality of San Isidro has launched the “Building Solidarity” aid chain, in which it will receive donations so that they can be channeled through Cáritas del Peru, to our most affected brothers.

Mayor Nancy Vizurraga reported that a total of three collection points have been installed: in Miguel Grau square (ex Arona), in the financial center, the Municipal Sports Complex (Av. Pérez Araníbar block 15) and in block 35 of Arequipa avenue (central berm).

In these places, there are municipal personnel from Disaster Risk Management receiving help from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What can be donated? Still water, canned food, soda cookies, oatmeal, noodles, rice, milk, beans, PVC ponchos, tents, lanterns and blankets.

Likewise, the sanisidrina burgomaster announced that a call for volunteers who wish to support the collection, classification and packaging of donations has been launched on the following Saturdays, March 18 and 25.

To join this solidarity campaign of help and support, all you have to do is go to the collection point in Plaza Miguel Grau.
