With a large turnout of competitors from all over the country, the first edition of the “Ciudad Jardín Grand Prize” was held this Sunday at the Tucumán Municipal Cycling Track. There was an outstanding local participation with the victory of Leandro Velárdez from San Juan, representative of the Pocito Municipality continental team. While Mauricio Páez, from Gremios por el Deporte, finished in fourth place.

More than 130 cyclists participated in the competition in the Elite, Master (B, C, D and E) and Ladies categories, supervised by the Tucumana Cycling Association. The race took place on the 2,000-meter track, during two hours of competition. The escape made by the cyclists from the San Juan teams was made in the last hour after several escape attempts.

The Tucuman test was carried out as a prelude to what will be this Monday the “Classic May 1” that will be run in Salta and in which most of the teams that competed in the competition this Sunday will participate.
