As the solo concert of girl group ‘2NE1’ has been confirmed, member Sandara Park expressed her feelings mixed with tears.

On the 26th, Sandara Park appeared on SBS Radio’s ‘2 O’Clock Escape Cultwo Show’ and announced the news of 2NE1’s solo concert, saying, “I’ve really been waiting for this, and I’m so happy that I can proudly talk about it to Blackjack (official fan club) after 8 years.”

2NE1 will be holding their solo concert ‘2024 2NE1 CONCERT WELCOME BACK IN SEOUL’ at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul on October 5th and 6th.

It has been about 10 years and 6 months since 2NE1 announced their disbandment in November 2016, and they will be holding a solo concert as a complete group. The concert will start in Seoul, then be held at Kobe World Hall in Japan in late November, and at Tokyo Ariake Arena in early December.

Sandara Park said she is fully prepared for the performance, and said, “I came in my pajamas because I was so tired from practicing, but my body is so tired, but I feel so good, so I’m so happy. I started practicing this week and I’m practicing really hard.”

While doing so, she added, “We are scheduling performances so that we can go to as many countries as possible and practicing really hard,” and “We plan to continue the tour until the first half of next year, so all the members have decided to stop their individual activities and go all-in on 2NE1 activities.”

Debuted in 2009 with “Fire,” 2NE1 was a representative girl group of the second generation, releasing hit songs such as “I Am the Best,” “Clap Your Hands,” and “I Don’t Care.”

In 2014, they reached 61st place on Billboard’s main chart, Billboard 200, with their second regular album, “Crush.” However, they announced their disbandment in November 2016 and released their last digital single, “Goodbye,” in January of the following year.

Then, in April 2022, they performed as a full group at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, a major music festival in the United States.

Since then, the four members have been discussing a full group reunion and recently met with Yang Hyun-suk, the executive producer of YG Entertainment, and decided to hold a concert to celebrate their 15th debut anniversary.
