Uni Girona starts the week full of news. The club announced this morning the arrival of Sandra Ygueravide, which becomes the fourth signing of Laura Antoja’s new team. The Valencian base, 38 years old, signs for the next ones two seasonsuntil 2025.
Ygueravide returned last year to the Endesa Women’s League to play with the Lointek Gernika Bizkaiawhere he scored an average of 10.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists who gave it a rating of 11.1. The Valencian has a long experience after making her debut at Ros Casares at the age of 17. He has also played for teams such as Perfumerías Avenida, Estudiantes or Hondarribi; while his CV also includes many European countries: Turkey, Poland, Russia, Hungary or France. The last away stage was at ESBVA-Lille Metropole.
In addition, Ygueravide is International with Spain and has excelled in 3×3 competitions as part of the team Girona Basketball women’s 3×3.
The sports director Laia Palau has valued her addition: “She is a very solid base in the direction and control of the game. She is a good three-point shooter, with the ability to score. With her, we gain experience and decision-making ability in important games.”
