Thiruvananthapuram: (www.kvartha.com) Film playback singer Sangeetha Sajith has passed away. He was 46 years old. He died at his sister’s house in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday morning while undergoing treatment for kidney disease. Funeral will be held at 3 pm at Thycaud Peace Gate.

She has sung in over 200 films in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. Janakikutty became famous for her song ‘Ambilipoovattam Ponnuruli’ from the movie. The song ‘Thannirai Kaathalikkum’ sung by Mr. Romeo and composed by AR Rahman was a hit.

He has become a favorite among the Malayalees through his many songs like ‘Odathandil Thalam Kottum’ from Pazhassiraja, ‘Dhum Dhum Dhum Dooreyetho’ from Rakkilippattu, ‘Alare Govinda’ from Kakkakuyil and ‘Thalam Poyi Tappum Poyi’ from Koshy. The theme song of the movie Kuruthi was last sung in Malayalam.
