Indian tennis player Sania Mirza is a six-time Grand Slam doubles winner. In 2010, she married Shoaib Malik, the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, after dating for 5 months.
According to a source close to the cricketer, the couple is now formally divorced. Sania Mirza has been living in India for the past few days and has a son named Ishaan.
Yes, they are now officially divorced. I can’t say more than that. But we can confirm that they have separated,” confirmed a person in Malik’s management team in Pakistan.
This follows Sania finding out that Shoaib has cheated on her. It was then that the two decided to live separately. However, despite their differences, they remain parents to their son Ishaan.
Recently, Sania shared a cryptic post amidst her divorce rumours. On Instagram, “Where do broken hearts go? To see Allah!” As mentioned. Seeing this, his fans started to worry.
The duo recently celebrated their son’s birthday together and while Shoaib shared photos of the celebration on Instagram, Sania did not.
“When you were born, we became very humbled and life was special for us,” Shoaib wrote on his Instagram.
