Malayalee batsman Sanju Samson is out after a stellar batting performance. He returned after scoring 39 off 25 balls. Sanju was miraculously caught by Binura Fernando off Lahiru Kumara. India is jumping in the competition.
At the start of the innings, the Sri Lankan fielder dropped Sanju for 6 as it was very difficult to find the timing. Sanju Lahiru Kumara (17 off 19 balls) was the top scorer in the 13th over. Sanju hit 23 runs in the over, including a four and three sixes. In the last ball of the over, the edged ball flew into the slip while attempting to repeat the boundary. The ball was caught by Binura Fernando with extraordinary flexibility.
At the end of 14 overs, India were 141 for three. Shreyas Iyer (66) and Ravindra Jadeja (10) were at the crease.
