Sanju passed the fitness test; May be considered for ODI series against Australia

Bengaluru: Sanju Samson, who was injured during the Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka in January, has passed the fitness test. The Test was held at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. With this, a national media reported that Sanju may be considered for the squad for the ODI series against Australia starting on March 17.

Sanju suffered a knee injury while fielding in the first match of the Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka on January 3. With this, the star lost the series. Later, the player was not considered for the series against New Zealand due to injury. After spending several weeks at the NCA undergoing physiotherapy, exercises and rest, Sanju is now gearing up for a comeback.

At the same time, pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who has been out for months due to injury, will take another month to recover his match fitness, according to reports.
