The Bolognese Ignazio Boschetto of Il Volo, together with Nek, born Filippo Neviani, from Modena, carry the Emilian flag high on the Ariston stage.
On the debut evening of Sanremo 2024, the trio gave a performance which – as they had anticipated – aims to broaden their audience. Il Volo thus glides beyond their lyrical pop. With the song “Capolavoro” they thus arrive at their third participation in the event of the city of flowers, where in the cover evening they will sing with Stef Burns (of Vasco Rossi’s band) Who wants to live forever by Queen.

The victory in Sanremo 2015
Il Volo is an Italian musical group composed of two tenors and a baritone Piero Barone (Naro, 24 June 1993), Ignazio Boschetto (Bologna, 4 October 1994) and Gianluca Ginoble (Roseto degli Abruzzi, 11 February 1995). They were the first Italian artists to have signed a direct contract with an American major label, Geffen. They interpret songs mostly belonging to the Italian and international classical tradition, with modern style and arrangements, and pop songs in a classical key. They have also recorded songs in Spanish, English, French, German and Latin. The group had already won the 2015 Sanremo Festival with the song “Grande amore”.
