Renovation works in full swing of horizontal road markings in various areas of the city. The municipal administration, on the input of Deputy Mayor Francesco Dimartino, has in fact started this type of work, during the night hours, especially in the center and near schools. The workers are and will be at work in Piazza Celestri, in the streets Caucana, Roma, Carmine, Matteotti and Tolstoi as well as in Piazza degli Studi, Piazza Unità d’Italia and in the streets Di Vittoria, Iozzia and Pirandello. “These interventions were necessary – commented Mayor Peppe Dimartino together with the Deputy Mayor – to increase road safety and urban decorum that is associated with the pruning, cleaning and weeding action underway in the various areas of Santa Croce with the care of green spaces. A precise impulse to make ordinary what was previously considered “extraordinary”, in such a way as to have a punctual planning of the interventions that allow us to improve the quality of life of our fellow citizens. Pedestrian crossings and parking areas are in fact essential for regulating the flow of vehicles and pedestrians, reducing the risk of accidents and promoting smoother circulation. They are therefore small but at the same time very important things that are indispensable for avoiding confusion, especially in sensitive areas such as those of schools. Investing in signage means investing in a safer, more orderly and liveable city”.
