The leader of Independiente del Valle referred to the absence of the jewel in the Under 17 and 23 categories of La Tri.
One of the great controversies that arose in Ecuadorian football in recent weeks was the non-call of Kendry Páez to the South American Olympic Qualifiers. The Ecuadorian Football Federation made the decision not to mention the jewel of Independiente del Valle, since they consider him only a La Tri Absoluta player.
From IDV they were always open to Páez joining the different categories of La Tri, even being willing to give him up for the Under 17 World Cup. Santiago Morales, general manager of the Rayados, referred to this issue and revived the controversy by saying that he would have called up Kendry.

Morales turns a deaf ear to IDV’s criticism
