Santiago Taboada accuses political persecution of Martí Batres

Santiago Taboadacandidate for Head of Government for the “Va X La CDMX” coalition, denounced a series of actions that he described as political persecution by the capital government and violence within the framework of the electoral process.

At a press conference, Taboada revealed details about the alleged preparation of a list by the authorities to investigate political operators with the objective of hinder their participation in the elections.

“They are trying to immobilize us so that we cannot participate in the election day. We will not sit idly by and take this to the last consequences,” Taboada accused firmly.

Taboada’s accusations emerged after the violent raid carried out at the home of Karen Quiroga, alliance candidate for mayor of Iztapalapaby elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security.

According to Santiago Taboada, these incidents constitute clear intimidation and government interference in the electoral process.

“They are trying to use the police because they don’t know how to beat us. This is a blatant act of intimidation, but they will not stop us,” the candidate emphasized.

Taboada made an urgent call to the Head of Government, Martí Batres, to remove his hands from the electoral process and put an end to this alleged political persecution.

“It is time for them to stop this before a tragedy occurs in Mexico City. We will not allow them to taint these elections,” he stated with determination.

For its part, Karen Quiroga shared her testimony about the alarming incidents that, the candidate said, endangered her safety and that of his campaign team.

He criticized the lack of adequate response from the authorities and denounced the police violence they have allegedly suffered.

“It is It is an electoral process in which violence is being used politically. We will not allow the government to intimidate us and prevent us from exercising our democratic rights,” Quiroga expressed vehemently, demanding justice and respect for the integrity of the candidates and the electoral process in general.
