In his message, Santiago Taboada accused the capital authorities of hiding information regarding contaminated water.
“I am very sorry for the clumsiness with which the Government of Martí Batres has behaved in resolving this situation. “They point to the concealment of information and take refuge in their negligence and inability in what could be a public health emergency,” he said.

Previously, the head of Government Martí Batres reported that the contaminant in the water of the Benito Juárez mayor’s office would correspond to a substance related to oils or lubricants, according to initial investigations.
“This problem did not originate in Cutzamala, it did not originate in the Santa Lucía Tank, it did not originate in the wells found in this area of Benito Juárez; The point of origin is focused on a delimited area to the west of the demarcation,” he indicated.
Likewise, he added that analyzes are carried out, as well as verification and tracking work in establishments, gas stations and construction sites in the area to identify the origin of the contaminant.
