Santo Sepolcro, excavations coordinated by Sapienza at the start

With the ceremony for the removal of the first stone of the floor of the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, the archaeological excavation activities led by the Department of Ancient Sciences of the La Sapienza University began. The works will be carried out for over two and a half years, without any kind of interruption, to allow the regular performance of religious services.
