Large trees in the Aureliano Leite and Marechal Bittencourt plazas, in Água Branca, west of São Paulo, were uprooted by the municipality during the last week.

At night, places are often surrounded by cars and motorcycles. From them, people eager for sexual encounters descend. As shown by the high audience numbers that the pornographic videos recorded there achieve on social networks.
After the measure, users fear going to the squares without the protection of the trunks and treetops.
The administration of Mayor Ricardo Nunes claims to have revitalized the spaces. “The renovation included painting the flower beds, curbs, benches, tables, pruning trees and weeding the garden area, leaving the environment pleasant for the residents of the area,” according to the City Council statement.
