São Paulo landed late this Sunday afternoon (11) in Porto Alegre to face Grêmio tomorrow for a place in the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Women’s Championship. The match will be played at 3 pm, at the Airton Ferreira da Silva stadium, in Eldorado do Sul.
With a last training session in the morning, the team adjusted the details and finalized the preparation for the confrontation of the final round of the first phase. The activity had a tactical and technical stage and another focused on set pieces.
In the history of main women’s football, São Paulo and GrEmian faced each other on three occasions. With no defeats suffered, the São Paulo team drew two duels and won one.
The teams met for the first time in 2020, in a duel that ended without goals, for last round of the first phase of the Brazilian, at CFA Laudo Natel. In 2021, the tricolors returned to play and again were tied, but this time 1-1, again in Cotia, for the debut of the national competition.
