It’s a bit like a prison sentence for an offender who has already had a suspended sentence. Except that there, the sanction affects a football club. By decree dated July 12, Yves Séguy, prefect of Saône-et-Loire, decided to “close an establishment in which physical or sports activities are practiced”. The decision, a first in Burgundy, hit the Football Club Autunois. He is prohibited from entering senior and youth teams in competition for the 2023-2024 sports season.
