Saracens through to Challenge Cup semi-final after win over Gloucester

The English Saracens, wide winners of Gloucester 44-15, won the first ticket for the semi-finals of the European Rugby Challenge on Friday. With five tries, including the first scored in the 7th minute by Aled Davies, the “Sarries” never trembled and led 16-5 at the break at Kingsholm Stadium. Two new attempts at the start of the second period, by Maro Itoje (47th) then Nick Tompkins (51st), allowed them to fly away. For a place in the final, they will move to the lawn of the winner of the quarter-final between Toulon and the London Irish, scheduled for Sunday at the Mayol stadium.
