The court in Saratov found the ex-traffic police officer guilty and fined for mining cryptocurrency in the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Department of the RF IC for the Saratov Region.

According to the investigation, from December 2020 to July 2021, a man gained access to a room belonging to the police, which was temporarily unused. He installed and connected to the power grid two devices, with the help of which he received the cryptocurrency. The damage that the ex-traffic police officer caused to the organization amounted to 231 thousand rubles.

The man pleaded guilty and made amends. He was fined 30 thousand rubles and deprived of the right to hold positions in law enforcement agencies for two years.
