Sash Company (Avnet) Will distribute the artificial intelligence chips and artificial intelligence modules of the Tel Aviv company Hailo. The distribution will be made through the subsidiary EBV Elektronik operating from Germany. Halo CEO Or Danon said the distribution agreement with EBV gives the company an opportunity to deepen its entry into the European market and reach customers in markets such as the automotive industry, smart industry, smart home, marketing networks and the like.

The Hailo company supplies the Hailo-8 neural network processor and the M.2 and Mini PCIe artificial intelligence modules. The Hailo-8 processor is built in the company’s unique architecture, and delivers 26TOPS processing power at a typical power consumption of only 2.5W. The artificial intelligence modules are based on Hailo-8 and connect to other accessories via PCIe interface. This allows them to work with all the processing platforms available on the market: Intel / AMD computers, ARM-based systems manufactured by the major chipsets, Raspberry Pi computers, MicroSys embedded SoM cards and more.

Hailo was founded in February 2017 by Or Danon, Avi Baum, Hadar Zeitlin and the late Rami Feig, who are graduates of an elite technology unit of the Intelligence Corps. Since its inception, it has raised about $ 224 million, while in the last round, amounting to $ 136 million that took place in October 2021, it achieved a company valuation of about $ 1.13 billion after the money. It currently employs about 170 people and is in the process of recruiting 100 additional development workers who will work from its offices in Tel Aviv.
