“Sasikala’s ‘Unity’ Twitter post…an outdated debate” – RP Udayakumar | RB Udayakumar Comment on Sasikala’s tweet

Madurai: Legislative Assembly Deputy Leader of Opposition RB Udayakumar commented on Sasikala’s tweet as unity, saying, “It is an outdated discussion”.

In Madurai today, she told the press: “Jayalalitha gave a historic verdict that the water level can be raised up to 142 feet in Mulla Periyar Dam and 152 feet after repairing the Baby Dam. Accordingly, the water level of Mullai Periyar dam stagnated at 142 feet three times during the AIADMK rule.

The Rulecurve order is meant to take away the right granted to Tamil Nadu by the Supreme Court. This is to our disadvantage. Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly K. Palaniswami has been urging the government about this. But whether Chief Minister Stalin Mulla who went to Kerala tried to find a solution to the Periyar issue will depend on the results in the coming times.

The DMK initially opposed the eight-lane road and now supports it. Eight lanes are being talked about as the necessity of time.

The release of 6 people is still questionable. They said that when we are the opposition party, we will liberate ourselves and we will advance the liberation. But now they are keeping their mouths shut.

While protesting with the family to close the Tasmac shop, now they are setting up a liquor shop in the name of Yadamalam near schools, colleges and temples. Today DMK is not even able to do the land acquisition work.

The AIADMK-ruled land acquisition for AIIMS hospital and 11 medical colleges has not made a dent, and people are seeing how much the expansion of the new airport is questioning livelihoods. “The Supreme Court has ruled that the AIADMK is united,” he said.

RB Udayakumar brushed aside the question about Sasikala’s tweets of unity by reporters, saying, “It’s a past discussion.”
