He Service tax administration (SAT) reported that in the first half of 2024, tax collection reached 2 trillion 526 thousand 306 million pesoswhich represents an increase of 251 thousand 220 million pesos compared to the same period of 2023.
This represents, he said, a real growth of 6.1 percent. This figure exceeded the budget in the Federal Revenue Law (LIF) for the first six months of the year, collecting 100.1 percent.
From January to June 2024, 1 trillion 434 thousand 509 million pesos were collected for the concept of income tax (ISR), a growth of 55 thousand 898 million pesos more than the same period of the previous year.

By tax on value added (VAT) 670 thousand 865 million pesos were obtained, that is, 61 thousand 345 million pesos more, while Special tax on production and services (IEPS) recorded a collection of 314 thousand 078 million pesos, which represents 122 thousand 298 million pesos more in nominal terms compared to the same period in 2023.
“These results are thanks to the implementation of the Master Plan for Tax Inspection and Collectionwhich has allowed for a level playing field in the collection of taxes without the need to create new ones or increase existing ones, as well as the commitment and honest work of public servants at the SAT.”
